This project came with some interesting challenges, including steep and rocky terrain, which required multiple site exploration and evaluation trips to find adequate space for the septic system. The final septic design included two fields to accommodate the waste flows from the main residence and guest cottage. Riechers Spence also had to work very closely with the contractor to create several options for trenching due to the difficult terrain conditions.
Another interesting detail of this project is a private wine cave and elevator accessing it within the main house.
