vino bello resort

Shell Vacations Club has envisioned a Mediterranean style timeshare for the Napa community. The proposed development will encompass approximately 5-acres of the 11.74-acres parcel and a total of 100 units in three buildings featuring a pool, spa, patio area and numerous walkways.

From an engineering standpoint this project covers some complex issues. The development cuts into a steep slope along the southern project limits to a retaining wall that averages 7 feet high along the rear access drive. The entire site is covered by approximately 2 feet of soil, which is underlain by cobbles and hardpan. Proposed neighbor, Meritage Hotel, will be sharing the westerly entrance and access drive. Grading coordination between the two projects has taken considerable thought. As a condition of approval 1200 feet of 12-inch reclaimed water line had to be installed in the street dodging existing utilities and water lines with setback issues. An existing 24-inch DIP water main across the site under the proposed access drive requiring that the final elevations maintain sufficient soil cover. Storm water runoff was treated at the proposed treatment capacity in bioswales and a Jensen Stormceptor storm water quality unit.
