RSA assisted the owner with developing a 35-lot residential subdivision and 45-unit resort on a 106.5 acre parcel on Foothill Boulevard in the city of Calistoga.
The owner of this property was not able to get a pump house easement from the neighbor. RSA redesigned the pump house to be underground and located in the vault in the existing roadway right-of-way. The owner didn't want a pumping system with a negative visual impact on the subdivision, and we determined the best location on the site where it would not visually impact the site. This site also required 250,000 gallons of water storage and a pumping distribution system on site. A site proposed footprint for this system would be nearly an acre requiring 300 LF of 12' high retaining wall; RSA was able to design a system taking up only 0.3 acres requiring 130 LF of 12' high wall.
